The Children Services Centre in Dunmanway, Cork was officially opened in May with Minister for Enterprise, Micheál Martin attending the opening. Children from St Josephs National School, Kinvara Galway were delighted at the unveiling of their new playground. The playground is open all day and is used by the school children for some periods but is accessible to the public all day.

Broadford National School in Clare unveiled their new playground at the start of the new school year. School principal Liam Patterson is delighted with the new facility and commented that "The new playground is a huge benefit to children in the autistic unit and for infant classes within the mainstream school".
